My Latest Adventure

Hi there! I'm Angela and welcome to my latest adventure! I've been wanting to start a blog for awhile now and finally decided to take the plunge. I have a background in journalism but recently did a career change and I'm getting my Masters in teaching. As much as I love teaching, I really miss writing so I decided it's time. Time for me to get back to writing. Time for me to step out of my comfort zone and share my life with you. While I'm an open book in person, I don't share a ton online, but that's all about to change!

I was born and raised in Huntington, WV but thanks to a series of unexpected events, I'm now living in Westfield, NJ -- about 35 minutes from New York City. I love the life I've created up here, but I miss home, my friends and family like crazy.

Along with getting my Masters in teaching -- and hopefully a teaching job! -- I opened my own travel agency last year, Daydream Destinations. I'd love to help you plan your dream vacation. From a one-night stay in a hotel to a fully customized trip to Europe and beyond, I do it all! I'd love for you to give me a follow on Instagram.

And just in case my plate isn't full enough, I'm also an independent sales consultant for Norwex. My family has a history of cancer so anything I can do to eliminate any risk of cancer -- no matter how small -- I'll take it. Plus, this stuff WORKS! It makes cleaning easy, fast and fun.
That's a quick intro to me. If I'm not out on an adventure somewhere, odds are I'm at home, listening to country music while baking a tasty treat, curled up reading with a big mug of hot tea....or let's face it, I'm probably napping.

Honeymoon Adventures: Setting Sail and Gibraltar

17 Days. 10 Countries. 1200+ Pictures. 2 Cruises. Infinite laughs and memories. Stephen and I are officially back from our incredible honeymoon and adjusting back to reality. Settle in and get ready to experience our trip of a lifetime. All we saw in Switzerland was the airport but considering our passport was stamped there, we're counting it as one of our countries. After arriving in Barcelona, we stopped off in our hotel room to drop things off before grabbing an early dinner and calling it a night after a LONG day of travel. This restaurant isn't open yet, but it's already Stephen's favorite. It's hard to see in the pictures, but those are cemeteries and mausoleums built into the hillside.  Here we are getting ready to board our ship, the Enchanted Princess (all my Taylor Swift fans, IYKYK! I also walked down the aisle to that song!)  Look at my handsome HUSBAND all ready for his first cruise! The ship was gorgeous and we immediately set out exploring. The prome

Honeymoon Adventures: Marseille

After our long travel day and a busy day in Gibraltar  we were more than ready for a day at sea to rest and relax before non-stop ports and tours. I'm dubbing these the best chicken nuggets at sea! Our ship had a Salty Dog location onboard and it was the perfect pool snack! If you know anything about me, you know I am a HUGE tea person. I mean my bachelorette party was a tea party so when I saw that afternoon tea was offered, I quickly ordered it! Please look at all of these tasty treats! I ordered for two people and they sent us SO. MUCH. FOOD. Who knew that avocado and mayo sandwiches were something I need in my life, but they definitely are! After his first experience with scones, clotted cream and some sort of delicious preserves (possibly apricot?) Stephen declared us "Afternoon Tea People." We also declared that we were too full to eat dinner in an hour and a half but that statement didn't last long. I was in my element when it came time for Broadway Trivia tha

July Book Review

I thought June was a good month for books, but somehow July was even better! This month saw seven books including a memoir, a YA series, some historical fiction, a beach read and suspense novel. Grab a glass of iced tea and open up your Goodreads account so you can add some of these books to your TBR list! My first read of the month was Over the Top  by Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye.  I was at the library looking for a different book when I saw this one and picked it up on a whim. I love the show and listened to Tan France's audiobook last year so I was excited to learn more about JVN and get some inside scoop on the show. That being said, I wasn't that impressed with the book. It mostly talks about his wild days and I do appreciate his vulnerability speaking out about mental health issues and how left untreated, it wasn't healthy -- or safe. I think I just went into the book with different expectations but that being said, I'm glad I read it. Next up was Not a Happ
