My Latest Adventure

Hi there! I'm Angela and welcome to my latest adventure! I've been wanting to start a blog for awhile now and finally decided to take the plunge. I have a background in journalism but recently did a career change and I'm getting my Masters in teaching. As much as I love teaching, I really miss writing so I decided it's time. Time for me to get back to writing. Time for me to step out of my comfort zone and share my life with you. While I'm an open book in person, I don't share a ton online, but that's all about to change!

I was born and raised in Huntington, WV but thanks to a series of unexpected events, I'm now living in Westfield, NJ -- about 35 minutes from New York City. I love the life I've created up here, but I miss home, my friends and family like crazy.

Along with getting my Masters in teaching -- and hopefully a teaching job! -- I opened my own travel agency last year, Daydream Destinations. I'd love to help you plan your dream vacation. From a one-night stay in a hotel to a fully customized trip to Europe and beyond, I do it all! I'd love for you to give me a follow on Instagram.

And just in case my plate isn't full enough, I'm also an independent sales consultant for Norwex. My family has a history of cancer so anything I can do to eliminate any risk of cancer -- no matter how small -- I'll take it. Plus, this stuff WORKS! It makes cleaning easy, fast and fun.

That's a quick intro to me. If I'm not out on an adventure somewhere, odds are I'm at home, listening to country music while baking a tasty treat, curled up reading with a big mug of hot tea....or let's face it, I'm probably napping.

Friday Favorites [4.11.25]

Hello and welcome back! A lot has happened in the nearly two years since I've checked in on here. First and foremost, I've become a mom! I gave birth January 6th, 2025 at 12:31 pm to Eleanor Marie who clocked in at 8 pounds 7 ounces and 21 inches long. While on maternity leave from work, I've wanted several times to pop back in here as a way to document this new "Era" of life. (See what I did there?? Honeymoon Adventures: Setting Sail and Gibraltar

17 Days. 10 Countries. 1200+ Pictures. 2 Cruises. Infinite laughs and memories. Stephen and I are officially back from our incredible honeymoon and adjusting back to reality. Settle in and get ready to experience our trip of a lifetime. All we saw in Switzerland was the airport but considering our passport was stamped there, we're counting it as one of our countries. After arriving in Barcelona, we stopped off in our hotel room to drop things off before grabbing an early dinner and calling it a night after a LONG day of travel. Friday Favorites [8.5.22]

It's Friday again and I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for some more Friday Favorites! Remember how last week in my book review I said that I read The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy in about three days? I followed it up by watching the series on Amazon Prime and it is definitely a favorite. The show is so sweet and seven episodes was not nearly enough for me! I'm really hoping for a second season and it can't come soon enough! This Nashville-Style Hot salad is DELICIOUS! It's the Target brand good & gather and it's my absolute favorite. It has cornbread croutons and dill flavored dried cucumbers...I'm getting hungry just describing it. Plus it has the tastiest spicy ranch dressing that really makes the salad. When I buy these, I always pick up two because I love them that much. My Cricut has been a lifesaver over the last couple of weeks.
